CombatStrips Expands into MMA Market with Pro Fighter Partnerships

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego, CA - March 5, 2024 - CombatStrips today announced its expansion into the MMA market with partnerships with three professional fighters and targeted marketing initiatives for striking-focused combat athletes.

MMA Fighter Partnerships

The company has signed:

  • Jake "The Strangler" Morrison - UFC veteran, 15-4 record
  • Valentina Ruiz - Invicta FC champion, 12-2 record
  • Devon Taylor - Bellator contender, 18-5 record

All three fighters will use CombatStrips in training and competition, with Morrison debuting the product at UFC 301 in April.

CrossoverAppeal

"The principles are the same whether you're grappling or striking," said Morrison. "Maximum oxygen means better cardio, which means I can push pace for three rounds. CombatStrips gives me that edge."

While initially developed for grapplers, CombatStrips' performance benefits translate directly to MMA's high-intensity demands.

Market Strategy

"Grappling was our entry point because that's where we came from," said Mike Rodriguez, CEO. "But serious athletes across all combat disciplines understand the value of improved oxygen intake. MMA is a natural expansion."

The company will sponsor MMA events and work with striking-focused gyms throughout 2024.

Growing Athlete Base

With this expansion, CombatStrips now works with over 75 professional and elite amateur athletes across multiple disciplines.
