Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about CombatStrips. Still have questions? Contact us.
CombatStrips mechanically open your nasal passages by an average of 31%, allowing significantly more oxygen intake with each breath. This leads to better endurance, delayed fatigue, and faster recovery between rounds. Think of it like removing a restrictor plate from an engine—you get access to the full capacity you already have.
Absolutely. Our medical-grade adhesive is specifically engineered to withstand extreme sweat, moisture, and physical contact. We've tested CombatStrips in competition conditions with hundreds of athletes—from local tournaments to world championships—with a 99.8% success rate for staying in place throughout entire matches.
No. CombatStrips are designed for single use only. The adhesive loses its strength after removal, and the spring mechanism may become compressed. Each strip is individually packaged to maintain optimal performance for one session.
Apply your CombatStrip 5 minutes before training or competition. This allows the adhesive to reach maximum bond strength with your skin. Applying too early (30+ minutes) may reduce effectiveness.
CombatStrips can help with deviated septums by opening the nasal valve, but they won't correct the structural deviation itself. Many athletes with deviated septums report significant benefit, but individual results vary. We recommend consulting with your doctor if you have significant nasal structural issues.
Yes. CombatStrips are legal in all major combat sports organizations including IBJJF, ADCC, UFC, and NCAA wrestling. They're classified as external nasal dilators, which are universally permitted. However, always check your specific organization's rules before competition.
Three major differences: (1) Our medical-grade adhesive stays put through extreme sweat and contact, (2) Our spring system is calibrated specifically for athletic performance with stronger, more consistent lift, and (3) Our materials and coating are designed to handle the intensity of combat sports. Regular nose strips weren't built for this level of abuse.
Remove slowly, working from one end to the other. Warm water helps loosen the adhesive. Don't rip it off quickly. If you have sensitive skin, apply a warm, damp cloth for 30 seconds before removal.
Absolutely. CombatStrips are tested extensively in No-Gi conditions where sweat and close contact are at their peak. The adhesive is actually designed with No-Gi intensity in mind.
CombatStrips are hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested. That said, everyone's skin is different. We recommend testing one strip during a light training session before using in competition. If you experience any irritation, discontinue use.
No need to shave. The adhesive works fine with normal facial hair. However, if you have very thick hair in the application area, you may get better adhesion with trimming.
Our standard pack includes 30 strips (30 training sessions or competitions). We also offer a trial pack of 10 strips and a bulk pack of 60 strips for serious athletes.
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If CombatStrips don't improve your performance, return the unused strips for a full refund. We're that confident they'll work.
While CombatStrips are designed for combat sports, many athletes use them for running, cycling, CrossFit, or any high-intensity cardiovascular activity. If you need maximum oxygen intake, CombatStrips will help.
CombatStrips are designed for athletic performance during waking activity, not for sleep. While nasal dilators can help with snoring, we haven't tested CombatStrips for overnight use. Consult your doctor for sleep-related breathing issues.
CombatStrips are designed to fit the vast majority of adult nasal structures. The flexible materials allow some adaptation to individual anatomy. If you have an unusually small or large nose bridge, contact our support team—we're developing additional sizes.
